Overview: The COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on the delivery of patient care. Rheumatology services across the UK have had to relook at chronic disease management in particular inflammatory and immunemediated rheumatological conditions. We are faced by a new and unfamiliar landscape and Rheumatology needs to be prudently developed and delivered with close Primary Care and Patient partnerships.

Learning outcomes: We explore the following areas: 

  • Rheumatology referral guidance
  • Inflammatory Arthritis Management: RA, PsA and AS
  • Disease Modifying Antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs): conventional, biologic and targeted synthetics
